I found that they have a slight stretch to the waist. I normally wear size 40 waist but I took a chance and ordered size 38, they fit Great!

I found these online since the store nearest me only sells the Vintage line. When they arrived and I tried them on, they were extremely long and the thighs and rear were a little snug compared to the waist. I ordered a 40x34 and they fit great in the waist, but they were a lot longer than any pair of big stars I've bought in the past. They fit more like a 36. Anyway, I had to get them tailored because I needed them for an occasion, plus I didn't know how the 32 length would be. After a slight alteration to the length, I am so pleased with these jeans. Big Star makes a quality pair of jeans and these are no exception. I just wish all jean companies would get on the same page length wise!
