Jacob Davis Bryson Straight Selvedge Stretch Jean
Jacob Davis Bryson Straight Selvedge Stretch Jean is rated out of 5 by 3.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Mulletude from Stretchy selvedge with tight kneesI tried these based on the "swole" reviewer who also loves Art of Manliness. I also have muscular legs but apparently not as muscular as his. I bought a 33. I normally wear a 32 to a 33, but the waist fit like a 35. The butt was flappy but my knees felt like they were in compression tights. The material was stretchy and oddly unlike denim, though it was easy to move in. I returned them. The search continues.

Rated 4 out of 5 by cawash91 from Swole approvedAs a preface, I will say that I'm 5'9", 200 lbs., and can high bar squat 500+ lbs. Not trying to brag, just trying to make it clear how hard it is to find jeans that fit, let alone selvedge jeans. Typically, regular fit anything will be skinny jeans on me, if they get passed my thighs. I had pretty much given up on the idea of selvedge jeans, as they are typically geared more towards the slim fit folks. I had first seen this pair of jeans on an article written by Brett McKay of The Art of Manliness, stating that they were big thigh approved, so I thought I'd give it a shot, and I'm glad I did. While they are slightly more fitted than I'm used to, they are not uncomfortable. The elasticity in the jeans really makes a huge difference. I can bend, squat, raise my legs, sit comfortably, etc. right out of the box, no break in required. It would be nice to see this pair of jeans available in more sizes, but for now, I've found my new go to jeans.
